Training August 30 @ Khatib, ended with a yummy protein shake

I stayed for a freaking 4 hours at the gym today... this is bad this is bad... waste of time and waste of effort because of catabolism... but i drank my Strawberry Protein shake in between to slow down the catabolism process la... i hope.

Reached there at 830am, I was early by 30min, CH was late by an hour, so in the end i trained for 1.30 hrs before he arrived -_- But glad that Bernard the fitness instructor with a 20" biceps (approx) spotted me for all my presses. =)

Chest: Incline, Flat bench presses + Declined dumbell presses + Flyes + Dips
Biceps: Olympic bar curl + undergraft pullups + Ez curl + alternate dumbell curl + machine curl
Triceps: Triceps extension with Ezbar and dumbell + Dips + Cable pull down and across

The remaining time i actually slow down my training and spent more time talking than training. lol. After that, went for lunch @ Charcos with DR ( got picture! and i will post up soon), and chomp down a whopping 1000Kcal meal i think... Half a roasted Chicken (big one) + seafood salad + Egg Salad + Tuna Salad! Nice but soooo full... and their salad is freaking big big biggggggggggg portion...

Back home... My post-workout nutrition! DIY

Add in Ice, Peanut Butter, Cottage Cheese and Dymatize Mocha Coffee Protein Shake

Blend it... thoroughly...

Served Chilled!

Taste like Ice Mocha from coffee bean- High in Protein and high in shiok factor!

foodiegym, need your advise, do you have sweets craving? i always have them, i try and control but sometimes, i cave in and eat them and feel really guilty afterwards. :( what should i do? i know it's kinda rhetorical.

also, is it fattening if i eat burbur chacha but i do not take the coconut based soup? as i just take the yam and sweet potatoes for fibre and protein.

yesterday, went to east coast lagoon and pigged out with my family. :(

yes i have cravings for sweet stuffs... chocolates expecially...i love them... just that i have the habit of rationing my snacks into small portions, enough to satisfy tt crave. just imagine, a 300kcal snicker bar, break into half is 150, into a quarter, that 75kcal already. i think its quite difficult not to eat them at all, but of do know of people who are very strong minded.

burbur chacha without the coconut, definitely do less damage, but fats does not just come from fats, what about the sugary syrups in the burbur chacha? they get turn to fats ultimately if u dun work them off, like immediately??? since they are simple sugars.

anyway if your intention is for the fibres and protein, then you shudnt be eating desserts for that leh... since when is desserts a good source of fibres and protein? protein go for lean meat, fibres? greens and fruits...

whatever it is... enjoy your meal! no point crying over spilled milk! just exercise later and eat clean for the next few day... =)

Thanks foodie. That is my problem, eat then cry. :)

burbur chacha contains yam and sweet potato, a source of fibre and protein, or am i kidding myself again? ;)

hi goodydaze,

yes sweet potato and yam contains fibre and protein, but they are not a good source of protein. almost every food contains protein, but what ratio of carbs to protein are we talking about here? they are more of a carb source more than anything else. if u r solely seeking for a good protein source, then meat should be the right source.

when u r taking in ur fibre n the meager protein from ur burbur chacha, i bet the consumption of sugar is much higher than the amount of protein.

hi foodie thanx for sharing.
there goes my weekly burbur chacha. haha.

what kinda of food in your opinion is suitable for ppl like me? i try to exercise 3 to 4 times a week. i get hungry quite often that is why i try to eat 4-5 small (btw how small is actually small?) meals per day but i still feel hungry.
