Old Airport Rd Hawker Centre

Went to Kallang Leisure Park to ice skate! 2 hours of ice skating burns: assuming i skate for a third of the time: 246Kcal was burned + its cold inside, so my body needs to burn more calories to maintain my body temperature for the next 2 hours, another 150Kal in excess was consumed. So in total: 400Kcal was burned! Therefore im so hungry after ice skating! No interesting food in Kallang Leisure Park as 80% of the stalls are still closed, unless i wanna go Cold Storage to eat raw food. So off we go to Old Airport Rd to Jiak Beng!

Hua Kee Hougang Famous Wan Ton Mee

The Mee is really good... very Q and the sauces were just the right amount... best noodle i ever had... but the wantons and charsiew pull down the scores. The wanton was way too small and not yummy la... no quality but at least quantity ma... but quantity also dun have... Char siew is the thinly sliced type which i dun really like... i like the thick slices one with thick caramelised surface, like the one sold by the auntie at amoy street level 2. Dunno why the Q is so long lor... really long...
4.0 wantons/ 5.0 wantons

Freshly made Chee Cheong Fun

Best Chee Cheong Fun i ever had! Best of both worlds... u get the Quality and Quantity. Quality: the Cheong Fun is sooo smooth and watery, as it goes into your mouth, u can feel the watery layered texture... omm... Trust me... eat this if u r a chee cheong fun lover! you wont have any regrets.... but if u dun try... i feel sad for u... lol. Quantity: They are so generous with the amount of meat... I had the Chicken and the Char Siew, and both the meats were like free like... gave a alot la... the Picture might look abit turn off... but who cares man as long as it taste good... and the chicken is better than the Char Siew.
Tip of the day: I think it taste better without the chilli!

4.8 Cheong Fun / 5.0 Cheong Fun

Rainbow Cuttlefish KangKong

Its Stall name make it sound like an expert in this dish... so I decide to give it a try! I think the auntie saw me snapping picture of it stall, and i presume she tot im some sort of food critic or what, and so the Cuttlefish Kangkong made by her was done so painstakingly slow, but nicely staked on the plate and presented for me..lol.

Many people does not know what is this dish, basically, its just KangKong boiled in water, with boiled cuttlefish on it... then add some sour plum sauce and some dark sweet sauce, and some red chilli tingy, and sprinkled with crushed nuts...and tada! Cuttlefish Kangkong!
It was not really yummy, i had better ones at many places, so low score for it.

3.5 Cuttlefish /5.0 Cuttlefish

Had almond Soya Bean Curd, nothing worth raving about... the stall looks nice only... :)
