Mini Donuts and Pancake @ Maricial Kobe Central

Maricial Kobe - mini donuts and pancake

Typical Singaporean reaction - "wah...long queue... must be good"... but this is so wrong... so so wrong. The array of mini donuts and pancake sold at this shop located at the basement of Central are pretty to the eyes, but not to a foodie's tummy.

Mini Donuts - 12 for $4

This mini donuts are actually deep fried by some automated machine and are available in 9 different flavours - Plain, Peanut butter, Peanut, Cinammon, Sugar etc... due to its small size, it is deep fried thoroughly, and hence very cripy... Crispy donuts?!?!? Taste wierd to be biting a donut that is crispy... and certainly toooooooooo sweet... But i guess the sweetness is due to the ratio of its surface area to its volume, it is like chewing on sugar fried ball. did not finish them at all...

Mini Fish Pancake - 10 for $4

I did not finish this as well. The pancake is bland and taste very floury... Appealing to the eyes only. It comes in many flavours such as cheese (which i can't taste any), Kaya, Chocolate etc...

Verdict: I will definitely not come here again... I seldom snack, and i can't believe I wasted sugar and fats on something so bad... -_-

The day ended with some nice fireworks!

Super Dog

My first time in Super Dog! Im so a sua-ku! but... this is going to be my first and last =\ Think its over-priced for something so normal... No wow-factor... The fries was... just cannot make it... i cant believe i wasted my calories and fats on these meal...

German Bratwurst - Its nice cos of the sausage.. nothing else.
Capsicum Chicken Dog - Its named this way... but WTH are the capsicum?!?! just 2 slices? why dun they call it an onion dog then....

Swedish Breakfast

Rye Bread from IKEA (HALL OF SHAME)

Went Ikea to buy something and another thing, which is this thing up there! Swedish Bread! Being such a bready person as i am, i wanted to try this weird looking bread. since its so BIG! Diameter maybe 30cm across?!?! Spreaded it 1/3 with Apricot Jam, another third with Cheese, another third with Peanut butter! After eating, my gums get kind of bruised by all the munching and chewing... 

Verdict: Its soooo dry, so hard.... not nice... maybe i should it eat with soup instead! OR maybe use it as the crust for Hawaiian Pizza!

There it is... Han Kee Sliced Fish Soup ( HALL OF SHAME)

The queue for this stall is so so long during lunch time, but I feel that this is not worth the queue. The only thing great about this stall is that the fish is fresh and the serving is pretty generous. Other than that, the soup is too salty. If the soup cannot make it, basically, its a goner! Why the hype over this??? The Sliced Fish Soup at Food Republic (wisma) is so much better!

Anyway i had a bad experience with this stall today! The service was bad... Asked for extra chopsticks... NO! Chilli... and the reply was: Bring your finished Chilli and 1 dollar! WTH... $! for topping up the chilli?!? Madness!!

We love this! The best Beef Noodle i ever had was the one at beach road, the one below army market! Until today, i found something better! This stall is situated at level 1 of Amoy Food Center. The noodle is Q Q, Beef was just nicely cooked and amount was satisfactory, The Gravy has some herbal taste. Even the small little bowl of soup that comes along with it was made with effort! Many more bowls to come in the future!
