Brownie Factory + Ben & Jerry

Triple Chocolate Brownie from The Brownie Factory - There is a lot of nuts and chocolates! I guess the 3 different types of chocolates are chocolate chips sprinkled on the top, the bottom layer of chocolate fudge, and the chocolate brownie itself, and hence triple chocolate.

Cheesecake Brownie ice cream from Ben n Jerry - It will be great if the cheese taste is more intense with chunks of cheese like how Häagen-Dazs makes their strawberry cheesecake.

Warm up the Brownie in the microwave and topped it up with a scoop of Ice Cream.

Beef Jerky - Exam Snack

What I have been snacking for my exam study period! one more paper to go!!! =D

Beef Jerky is called Beef Jerky simply because the word "jerky" comes from the Quechua term Charqui, which means "to burn (meat)" according to Wiki!

It taste like Bak Kwa without the oil and slightly saltier...

Low fats and carbs, but sodium on the higher side

Soya Bean Curd @ Hong Lim Foodcentre

This is one of my favorite stall for a nice hot bowl of Soya bean curd. You might find me strange, cos everyone is going for the smooooothest, sofftttest texture. Not that i want to be different, but I do find the not-so-smooth and not-so-soft ones appealing as well. I have tried the one at selegie, it was just so normal. Been to the geylang, not too bad either. But out of these 3, I still prefer this! But too bad, this uncle has a very bad location.

Nice undulating textured surface, with very strong taste of Soya! The strong soya taste is what I like the most! I must really emphasize the strong soya taste!!! On top of that, it only cost $0.60! or was it $0.80? hmm... I think its $0.60.

slurpz.

Sale at Vivocity Candy Empire - Ritter Sport & Peanut Butter MnMs

And who says Foodiegymmie doesn't indulge?!
in fact he indulge so much that he always kena "niam" by CH.

Candy Empire at Vivocity Outlet

The cheapest Ritter Sport I've seen so far! One for only $1.90! The closest competitor to this price was the ones I bought at Cebu! After converting Pesos to SGD, its about $2. NUS COOP used to sell at $2.20. Normal Price is $3.40!

Marzipan (For Her) and Full Chocolate with Almonds (For me)

I always like my chocolates with nuts...

MnMs Peanut Butter @ 1 for $1.50, 3 for $3.40 (savings of $1.10!)

Usually I don'y eat MnMs because I feel that that it is way too sweet, and the chocolate merely taste sweet only, lack of the chocolatey taste. But not when its MnMs Peanut Butter!!! I love all things peanut butter!

Hokkaido Fair @ Isetan Orchard

Many samples for you to try! It feels like I am back in Dan Shui (Taipei) where samples are given out and you can eat until you are filled... lol!
I love nuts, all sort of nuts... healthy(raw) nuts as well as unhealthy(processed) ones! But unhealthy one eat less often larh. The Pinkish nuts on the right is Sakura nuts... It is quite nice and it tastes like sugar coated peanut... I guessed its named Sakura probably due to that pink hue ba... or is there something called sakura taste?
Black Soy Beans are very very high in protein, very low in fats and low in carbs!

And they got many types of scallops. The original taste one is still the best. There are some variants such as grilled with cheese etc, but it is so pricey la...

Anchovies and Furikake to go along with your rice... I seldom eat rice unless its sushi... so i dun need them. =)
"Korokke" or Croquette is a popular french food that was introduced to Japan, and ever since then, many creative and interesting croquettes has been made by the Japanese. It was so popular in Japan that a song was made about it.

“korokke is an everyday dish, we eat korokke today and tomorrow. are we gonna eat korokke all year around?”.

I wanted to buy the Shrimp with Cream Korokke, I just want to get one, but the lady say they already packed in two of the same kind... but why eat the same thing twice??? I dun like this idea, so i never get to try it, but it certainly looks good. There are also fried meat filling and many types la..i cant rmb!

Last year I had the Dango! It is nicer than the ones in Ajiteh. This year there are many choices to choose from, and there are also mochi...

Hokkaido Curry Bun... Pretty Ex for a bun filled with curry... normally Sun Moulin sells for $1 +... Bread talk one got egg some more!

My favourite! Manju in the making... Manju is sort of like a pancake with filling, but ain't exactly a pancake also lar... taste different leh... The manju here made on the spot is somuch nicer than those I had from Hongkong previously...

Available in 2 different fillings - Red Bean and Cream

and these are my eatsss... other than the samplesss... :)

The curry bun is nice, but i don't think it is worth of the price tag it carries. The curry flavor is pretty aromatic, yet there's a fruity sweetness to it, the exterior is thin and crisp, while the interior is soft...not bad!

The Manjus are my favourite! I prefer the cream over the red bean ones... The red bean ones will be better is only they are chunkier.

Sushi! These are not from the Hokkaido Fair, but from Isentan itself... The sushis from Isetan is more expensive (almost double the price) as compared to those takeaway outlets in supermarket... but their sushi is better, hmm... maybe better than sakae sushi? We all know sakae sucks.

and not forgetting...desserts made by my dearest

I love Rumballs, esp those from Hans. I love peanut butter, esp Adams. So my dearest combines the two into Peanut Butter Rum Ball! Oh gosh... it melts in your mouth... The interior is crispy and has peanut butter, coated with chocolate and sprinkled with either chocolate rice, cinnamon powder or peanut brittles.

I just had one first thing I woke up, then went for a 5k run! hehe

Chocolates madness from the land of Kangaroos and Joeys!

Many many chocolates!!!
Many many so many chocolates from Australia.. How can i not become tubby and chubby... arghh... haha. More Gym and HIIT with little blacky Chiehui!!! Anyway the key point is eat in moderation.

Rocky Road

This is my favourite! Marshmallow Center, coated with a thick very thick layer of chocolatey chocolate and sprinkled with Peanuts! How sinful? Damn sinful. Just 50g of it contains like 20g sugar and 15g fats.

Chocolate HoneyComb

Taste like the chocolate with the golden wrapper... forget the name... Its cubes of honeycomb dipped into molten chocolate, then hardened - Just like how investment casting is done, soak the wax into slurry etc.

Richfield 70% Cocoa

Dark Chocolates.. I love Darks! They are lower in fats content than milk chocolates as cocoa itself doesnt contain much fats... its the cocoa butter and the milk! And a small little piece of dark chocolates (70% or more) contains enough flavonoids which are known for their anti-oxidants activity.

Fine Milk chocolate

Nice to eat... with no apparent benefits except adding inches to your waistline so that your pants become more fitting.

Caramel Fudge

I never eat this before and i I havent tried it... Fudgey things should be nice...

Ritter Sport Review

Ritter Sport mini @ $4.50
Suddenly I have a craze over Ritter Sport chocolates... so i decided to "sacrifice" myself by eating up those calories so as to bring to you (my loyal E.A.T Fans) the "Official Ritter Sport" Review. Bought them from NUS coop at $4.50.... but today... I found a place... selling at only $4.05! This whole packet comes in 9 mini packaging, but some flavours were repeated, and certain flavours like rum, raisin and hazel, raisin and hazel, 50% Dark were not available in this mini packaging.
So after trying all of these flavours, now I am qualified to tell you whats hot and whats not! lol. Kk.... enough of yada yada....

Best Flavour Arranged from Best to Worst!

1. Knusperflakes - Its actually Chocolate and Cornflakes, making it so crunchy, and not too over-chocolatey! My favourite! Gonna get the big packet for this!

2. Joghurt - Yogurt layer between the chocolate, adding a sour yogurty after-taste to the chocolate. Ate it chilled as well as warm... and chilled taste so much better!

3. Marzipan - Its actually Almond Paste "giap" in between chocolate layer. Instead of chewing on almonds, this flavour blends in the almond taste into each bite.

4. Knusperkeks - Bicuits coated with chocolate! Best eaten chilled! If its warm, the biscuit will be too soggy and soft. Unlike cornflakes which is crunchier, this one is only crunchy within one layer.

5. Haselnuss - Like normal Cadbury chocolate bar with hazelnuts. Only difference is that Ritter Sport chocolate is so much nicer and chocolatey yet less sweet than Cadbury! Cadbury is like eating sugar bar!

6. Nugat - Supposed to be Nougat blended with the chocolate, but i cannot really distinguished the nougat from the chocolate. Texture is slightly thicker than the normal milk chocolate.

7. Vollmilch - In short... its just milk chocolate... nothing special.. but let you get a taste of how ritter sport chocolate taste like.

Ritter Sports

Ritter Sport Cappiccino & Marzipan

The reason this chocolate is called Ritter Sport, indeed has something to do with Sport! Ok..the story goes like this... Alfred Ritter married Clara, so thats why the "Ritter". They wanted to produce a Squarish chocolate, but yet weighs the same as Rectangular ones, and must be able to fit into Sport's Jacket Pocket, and thats how we get the "Sport". Combined them together and we get "Ritter Sport"! Im not making this up!

Hope the cappucino is good, and anyway got them from NUS co-op, so cheap... only $2.20! Usual price $2.70! hehe... Taka sells 4 for $10! I got a good deal! anyway just realised from my friend that Cold Storage is also selling at $2.20. =

more piglets to usher "mid-autumn"!

One Pig, 2 piglets, 2 Goldfish aka me, 1 merlion!
Suddenly i just feel like eating these for lectures everyday! haha. Bought from "Bee Cheng Hiang"! Warning! (dun ever buy from normal bakeries, their Piglets are so hard, majiam chewing pebbles!) The auntie selling is was like: "Buy fish good ah... "nian nian you yu".. and i showed her the = face. But in the end, i bought it still...lol. I want "nian nian you CAP 5.0" la... who cares bout fish man...
Anyway, was surfing for the nutritional values of this piglets but up to no avail, until i bought one with the nutritional info label.
For those Health freakies out there: One Normal size Piglet of 25g contains 5g carbs, 4g Fats, 1g Protein, thats about 50Kcal! Rather high in fats for something so small... but eat in moderation lor...

Piglet-in-a-basket

Some call it piglet-in-a-basket, some call it piglet bisuit. But its actually called "jui zai beng" (豬仔餅) in Cantonese. So much attention is given to mooncakes, but this poor piglet is left more and more neglected over the years... Mooncakes contains so much calories ~ 1000Kcal for one piece of Traditional Mooncake with lotus paste, so why not celebrate with this sweet biscuit!? :) and it cost only $1.00 at Bee Cheng Hiang!

The pastry is atually similar to that of the tradtional cantonese mooncake, minus away the lotus paste. But recently, new piglets are out in the market which contains lotus paste or even chocolate! Theres also Merlions now, fish... wonder if theres Disney Cartoon Characters...

If you haven't had yours today, go get it now! relieve those childhood days!
