Domokun goes to China for "Xiao Long Bao" and India for "Naan with Tandori Chicken"

Domokun likes the Xiao Long Tang Bao at the food court at the basement of Sim Lim Square. But one "bao" is too big for him, so he share half of it with me...

Argggh... Its too spicy for him! Domokun doesn't like spicy food. So in the end, he just eat the tandori and the naan without the curry. The tandori is very well "spiced" and fragrant.

Seems like Domokun like the food court of Sim Lim Square!

Tomorrow Domokun will be flying off already... He does not know about it until today, and only has 36 hours to pack his all-time favourite domokun likes.

Domokun wants to take photo with the Eiffel Tower in Paris

and then take an overnight train... to Germany...

Domokun is very excited!
He wants to take photo with the Sony center am Potsdamer Platz.

Lots of food awaits Domokun, but Domokun just like me, also like to run. So Domukun will be bringing his teeny weeny dokushoe to run there...

Domokun will be back in 2 weeks time!

Arrghhhh!!!!!!!

Indy lunch @ Sim Lim Food Court

Indian and Pakistani I though India and Pakistan are rivals... not my problem anw, just give me good food!

Wah... they got a big big ceramic furnace... im so attracted by that... I must order something freshly cooked and served out of tt!

Tada! Garlic Naan with Chicken Tandoori freshly made and serve out of the ceramic furnace... hot hot... anw chicken tandoori is one of the healthier choices one can get at a indian stall!

I am pretty surprise that at a food court in Sim Lim Square, i can actually find a decent/good indian food. Singaporeans usually use the length of the queue as a goodfoodmeter (how good a food is), but this is not always the case... like now.

But why is it that the price of Indian Food is always so steep! i heard from grandfather's stories of how they double-standard...shall not explain more. at least im satisfied with some spicy hot curry in my tummy. hehe

DIY Indian Lunch

Many often think that Indian food is junk food... loaded with calories and fats... well.... its not entirely true! I had my Indian Lunch today, D.I.Y style... plus its more healthy than your regular mee pok ta or hokkien mee or maybe even yong tau hu! More often than not, its a matter of choice whether you want your food to be healthy or not. Instead of dipping into curry loaded with coconut milk, why not use healthier alternatives?
1. Curry Tuna Light: Ready to Eat
~12.7g Protein : 4.0g Fats : 2.0g Carbs; per 100g
2. Chapatti: Just Heat it over fire without any oil added.
~ 3g Protein : 1g Fats: 9g Carbs; per 45g

3. Palak Paneer (Spinach with Cottage Cheese): Ready to Eat, microwave
~ 8g Protein : 6g Fats : 38g Carbs; per 240g
4. Chilli Beans: microwave
~ 6g Protein : 0.5g Fats : 21g Carbs, per 125g
Conclusion: Every meal can be made healthy but at the same time yummy! Sinful food is always yummy is nothing but a myth!

PapaDoom and Palek Paneer!

Those who came down to my place and stayed after Friday midnite get to eat these Papadoms made by me! In my previous entry, i went to mustafa to buy these stuffs... and this is how it looks like after frying it. Preparation was simple. Just Coat each piece with oil and fry it! you can also choose to deep-fry, but a unhealthy alternative. Then today, I treid to microwave it without any oil - a even more healthier choice... and it turns out pretty ok...
Anyway Papadom without any cooking contains only 0.2g Fats to 1g Protein per piece!

Why did Popeye chose to ate a can of tasteless Spinach when theres Palek Paneer (Spinach with Cottage Cheese). It looks like sai(4) in the picture, but its really goes well with the Papadoms. Preparation for this is even simpler... open can, pour into bowl and microwave it! Those white cubes are cottage cheese.

Nutrtion Facts: 3g protein to 7g fats

Little India - Mustafa

The smell was over-whelming! Fusion of the curry, spices, incense and humpz. But it was a fruitful trip! First Stop - Lil Ind'

Their Kuehs - Anyone knows if Indian "Kuehs" uses Goat's milk or Coconut milk?

First Sight of Mustafa!

** something irrelevant** The Boss trains at Khatib gym!

Damage at Mustafa
1. Chilli Beans (unlike the usual baked beans in tomato)
2. Palak Paneer (Spinach with Indian Cottage Cheese, to be dipped with Naan, Chapati or Papadoms)
3. Papadoms! (Heat and Eat pack)

4. and other miscellanous items - cookies, biscuits, pop tarts that are not indi! not in pic!

Garlic Naan @ some shop - Pakistani and North Indian Tandoori?

The Tandoori Chicken - Its very juicy and sprinkled with herb and spices, with peppermint dips!
