Domokun goes to Japan - Waffle with Black Sesame Ice Cream

Domokun goes to the street of Japan, and ended up in Shokudo

He spotted a plate of hot waffle with a scoop of black sesame ice cream, and his jaws drop wideee open...

He was caught for trying to steal my waffle, and now he must bear the consequence...

I was just pulling his leg. He was given a slice of the waffle with ice cream... and... Domokun live happily ever after... just for that day...

Equinox Hi Tea - Wonderful Place Wonder Day Wonderful People

Table for twelve at Equinox - Post-R.O.M ( of my dearest sister) Hi-Tea Buffet

St Andrew's Cathedral spotted!

and of course... the landscape of Singapore!

Note that my title of this post says "Equinox Hi Tea - Wonderful Place Wonder Day Wonderful People", but i did not mention wonderful food! Well... you should know why by now, but paying for the view is totally worthy in my opinion.

Pictures named from Left to Right

Chinese Fried Rice - Ee Fu Mee - Bai Cai
Quinche - Pork & Chicken Sausages - Assorted Vegetables
Spread of Chinese cuisine - Fried Dory fish - Porridge

I only fancy the sausages.

Porridge - Chawamushi - Chocolate Fondue and Ice Cream Toppings
Desserts in glasses, cookies and Kueh Lapis - Muffins, Donuts, Puffs - Scones, sandwiches
Fruits - Tuna and Egg mayo sandwiches, Ham & Cheese, Walnut Raisin Cream - Salads

I like this part of the Buffet the most! The scones, sandwiches and salads! Scoop some melted chocolate into a bowl, and dip my sandwiches into a chocolate coated sandwich!

Pancakes - Soba - Pasta prepared on the spot
Table by the window - Assorted breads - Dim Sums

I am curious as to why they serve assorted bread but there is no soup to go along with it!? ultimate sadness! Only olive oil as dips... :(

Tada! and I had a bloody good time gorging myself with these...

Sausages and more sausages for me... Maybe i should join some sausage eating competition... lol. Olives are nice on its own... The siew mai and charsiew pau is not worth a try.

Scones, Egg Mayo sandwich. The star on this plate is that triangular looking thing on the right. That is the Raisin Walnut Cream sandwich! I Love this! i think i ate like 5 of 6 of that!

Almond Pastry, and more of that raisin walnut cream sandwich and scones!
Scones and jam ist sehr gut!

Salad DIY - just like any salad...

Bai Cai and Ee Fu Mee - More sausages... and quinche which was horribly made.

Walnut Cream Raisin Sandwich again! hhaha.... told u i like it!
Ham and Cream cheese sandwich is nice too... but it is veryyy filling...
Sushi - I only tried one piece of sushi, and i though other places have better sushis, and it is not worth more of those carbs from sushis... save it for desserts...

Seafood Salad is nice.. but darn! how can they just give one serving of it...and not refill it anymore? Its a buffet for goodness sake!
And the smoked salmon... they did not replenish that either!

DIY Mango Sorbet with nuts toppings, pistachios and chocolate crisp, and I thought this ice cream creations looks so pretty to the eyes....

Some sweet tasting dessert.... I like the crumps... which are buttery and sinful

chocolatey? Yes you are right.

And even more chocolatey... Fruits platter drizzled with chocolate sauce

oh... and that's the fruit pie at the right side... this sucks.

Goodness...

I am glad I went to the gym in the morning earlier...

But i am sad i fell sick for the next 2 days after this buffet and never workout...

There are more food varieties but are not captured by me as they are pretty common and does not interest me. E.g. Laksa and Pratas etc...

All in all... a good place for good view.

Popeye Chicken and Biscuits

Singapore Flyer - never fly before, perhaps wait till the IR is done instead of looking at muds and sands now

At the foot of SG Flyer lies my dinner...

POPEYE! People Mountain People Sea!!! But their service was fast so the wait was not as long as expected. It is not as bad as The Varsity which i saw on Food & Travel channel, the Q is damn long laaa...

3 Pieces of chicken (asked for all chicken breast need an additional charge of $1), but I only take breast meat. The Biscuit, was ok la, it taste nice with the mapel syrup. The do not have coke light... that's a boo boo popeye! Mashed Potatoes comes with Cajun Sauce... thumbs up!

Who doesn't like POPEYE!?

Happy Saturday @ Fin Seafood Cafe

Happy saturday cos i found a good deal! was famished after a short few hrs in Marina Sq... so we were looking for a nice place to eat...we considered changing appetites, waraku flashed through my mind, Azabu Sabo was also an option... until we walk past this place! One-4-One for Amex holder! yaY! I love one-4-one deals!

Fin Seafood Cafe... so many fishy deco around the place, so my guess is that they are good for their fishes and seafood... they have steaks and stuff thou.

They have this GIANTIC Tabasco sauce sitting on the table, and ice water was served in plastic cups supposedly injection molded to form.

Mussels eat liao will have muscles! *lame* anyway they have Monday special whereby oysters are each at only $1! But i think there is some terms and conditions ba.

Here comes mine... sizzling hot... Pan Snapper w Teriyaki sauce. It was so fresh and so yummy can!? and then... the greens that accompany the fish is so crunchy and its dressed in some vinigrette. oh ya.. and mashed pototoes are also served alongside.

and here's hers. Pan Salmon with Herbed Butter. Yum yum too.

Total bill... Snapper FOC Item! haha.

Ochacha... here i come... @ Raffles City

Just about a month ago, Breadpig organised a foodie outing to Ochacha and i wanted to go too! But i was in Taiwan. When i came back and saw all the pictures that they have posted up... Day and night ive been thinking of it... loL... I must try the green tea and the sandwiches!

and so here i am at Ochacha!

Mushroom Soup - Lots of mushrooms bits and chunks and hence its name. lol. Seriously, the amount of mushroom is pretty generous, but sadly, its a tat too salty... its way too salty actually. It will be great if the soup can bring out the natural taste of the mushroom itself without the overpowering salty taste. But it is still not too bad comparable to other soups.

Azuki Freezie ($6.50) - Ice Blended Green Tea with Azuki Red Beans
The aroma of the green tea is still pretty strong despite the sweetness of the red beans. Blending green tea and red beans is indeed ingenious... I love these!

Furikake Salmon Sandwich ($5.90) - Furikake is the small little bits of things that is sprinkled over the salmon. The salmon is quite alot for the size of the sandwich, salmon lovers will definitelylove this... and yes i do! But the wierd thing is how come I am given wholemeal bread that looks like it is from Gardenia... and why Breadpig was given another type of bread? hmm hmm... but i am fine with it cos i love wholemeal anyway.

The sandwich set comes with the garden salad, which has lettuce, cherry tomatoes, japanese cucumber, corn and some wasabi coated peas... there is also a few piece of chips by the side. thanks goodness its only a little.

Wasabi Tuna Sandwich - This sandwich is more evenly toasted, which i prefer... It is stuffed pretty generously with wasabi tuna, and you can tell the staff the intensity of the wasabi during your order, either strong or normal. Every bite has a strong hint of wasabi...cheerios to wasabi fans.

Overall, I like O cha cha... and it will definitely be my tea time hangout area should I be around the vicinity...

OChaCha is located @

Shokudo @ Raffles City

Shokudo - Means Canteen in Jap!

Look around.. does it look like canteen to you?

The whole set up of this place is very marche-like... except that everything is Jap!

Make a Guess... what is this?!?!!?

Salad... looks so colorful and yummy... but i never try them...

More Salad!

Soup! i also never try them...

Assorted Meats and seafood... You choose what you want...and they will cook it for you... The beef skewer looks so thick and juicy.. but i also never eat... =|

Japanese Gelato! i also never eat... =\

Burgers and burgers... i too.. never eat...

Fish Flakes! Such a big packet! I also never eat... cos its not for sale...

Japanese Pizza! $7.80 I ate this! :)

Curry Potato Pizza - Look how thin the crust is... i simply like the thin crust pizza... what for eat so much dough... its just carbs... bad bad carbs! least potato is complex carbs... The whole thing is quite mashy... but the curry is very nice and goes well with the potato... and some fish flakes are scattered on top of it... within minutes... nothing is left... nice! But I want to try the Ebi & Bacon Wasabi Pizza next time! It sounds more like a jap pizza to me... and wasabi on pizza definitely sounds like a darn cool idea...

Unagi Omelette $5.80 - This stall sells nothing but omelettes only... and the Q is very very long... EggS! who doesn't love them!? i eat 3 eggs that morning... w/o the yolk of cos... and plus this omelette...i think i must have eaten 6 eggs in total for that day! The omelette is very soft and still quite runny in the inner layers.. and the unagi adds the yum factor to it... This dish is simply cannot be missed if you go to shokudo...

Scallops $2.50

Grilled Saba $5.80 - on the display, the raw version looks damn big, but the real thing that came out hot is probably 70% of the length displayed, and half the thickness as it was sliced into half... i feel cheated! lol. but I like fish meat..white meat...good meat... add some lemon and eat the meat with the radish bits is nice...

Thats all! Theres so many things to eat over there... but slowly slowly try la.. no rush... spread the unhealthiness over a few visits... dilute the effects! hah!
