Sushi Tei @ Vivocity

The Grand Entrance to Sushi Tei
- so many bamboos, majiam like crouching tiger hidden dragon.

View from where im sitting
- Specially requested to have a sea-view, more lo-man-tic ma... hehe

Camp Fire?!?

nono not campfire... its Nabe!

or in full, its called Kaisen Kaminabe! Nabe means Hot Pot in Jap, and Kaisen Kaminabe means Mix Seafood Paper Hot Pot. This is the special Hokkaido promotion which Sushi Tei is having now until Jan, which is tomorrow! After which, this dish will dissappear entirely from Sushi Tei. In my previous entry, I went to Waraku for Nabe too, but the 2 Nabes are one heaven one land ( Yi Tian Yi Di), with of cos Sushi Tei being the heaven. They are sure damn generous with the seafood - 4 slices of thick raw salmon, 2 prawns, 2 Crab Legs which are quite big, 2 fresh scallops and other misc seafood... The Soup can be chosen from either miso or spicy, once again, i chose miso!
4.6 Nabe / 5.0 Nabe

Umaki

Its Eel wrapped in Jap omelet, with radish as toppings are the side. The Egg is very rich in flavor, and its soft...smooth... eat together with the eel is a good combi.

4.4 Umaki / 5.0 Umaki

Unagi Tofu Ankake

On the menu, this dish looks so small, but in reality, its BIG! one big bowl of tofu! my pic looks abit disgusting cos it has been played around already b4 taking this picture..lol. Its actually Stir-fried Tofu, with eel... and is supposed to look like this -------------->>

4.0 Tofu / 5.0 Tofu

Nato Sushi

Nato is Jap fermented soy beans, not those saltish fermented beans yo find in chinese dishes, looks similar but taste different. These beans are high in protein... anw the server forgot to charge us for this plate... =)

3.3 Nato / 5.0 Nato

Unknown Sushi

I forgot what is the name of this dish, but i do remember that it is Sushi (duh!), with prawn tempura, wrapped with melted cheese and some other stuffs inside. Its crunchy on the outside, soft inside due to the rice, and crunchy again due to the tempura, and juicy again due to the fresh prawn... Gotta be the best sushi i ever had...

4.6 Unknown Sushi / 5.0 Unknown Sushi

overall... Sushi Tei might be more expensive than other sushi outlets, but its definitely worth every penny you spend here... why eat sushi for the sake of eating?

anymore nice recommedation for sushis? intro pls! :)

ahhh I wanna try Sushi Tei too! hmm I like Ichiban. Genki's not bad too, quite reasonably priced but the variety is not that huge. Recently went to Minori, which is buffet. Not bad as well!
