Taipei - Day 2 - Morning

CJ 7 - Good Morning! Follow me for the day 2 of the tour!

Went to Dunkin' Donuts for breakfast - First customer of the day! Their donuts looks more appealing than those sold in Malaysia, very nicely presented.

This device will buzz/vibrates/tremble...kk u get the idea... when your order is ready.

Our Breakfast! Ham &Cheese Bagel and Coffee

After breakfast at XMD, we took a train ride to Gong Guan

Went to their Univerisity - National Taiwan University, but this was not the one we wanted to go... we got lost... and we are still hungry...

saw a queue forming nearby and we decide to join in the 'fun'!

Fried Buns... and Local breakfast... the queue is pretty long so we thought it must be pretty good.

Fried Bun

Open and you see this... wah... This is the BEST fried bun. The inside is cabbage, so crunchy and very juicy. The exterior is fried such that it is pretty hard on the outside but so soft and crunchy inside.. no wonder the queue is so long... I highly recommend this!

Dan Bing - Taiwanese Egg Pancake - it has pork floss and egg wrapped within, and a very special sauce is drizzled over it... This is the BEST i pancake i had throughout my stay in Taipei. Highly recommended too!

and this is how the shop looks like... it is situated near Gong Guan Station.

Does this look familiar? Looks like where the movie "secret" starring Jay Chou was filmed... This is the National Taiwan university. We found it!

Lessons in progress... everything was taught in chinese... -_-''

They have a bakery that sells a lot of bread! if only NUS also have one... Their bread is very similar to Sun Moulin type, probably due to Japanese culture influence.

Look how they stack the bicycles...

Jiantan Station - To take a shuttle bus to Miramar Shopping center for the ferris wheel

There was a autograph session by some Taiwanese star, no idea who thou... but we join in the crowd for fun!

The Ferris Wheel - Got student price for student, not just Taiwanese student but me too! just show them your matriculation card!

The View - that's Taipei 101 in the backdrop.

Went back to Shihlin Market in the afternoon for makan - lunch! Bubble Tea, and this is Mango Pudding Milk Tea... The mango pudding taste really like real mangoes la... damn it...i miss it.

Fried Oyster Omelette - unlike the ones in Singapore, they pour some sauce over it, but i still prefer my mother land's version.

341 Steak, that's the name of the stall, and its very crowded, a lot of locals eating here! crowd = good food?

Nope... we were wrong. I guess the locals are just fascinated with western food. The Black pepper steak is big and the they are very generous with the black pepper sauce, but we can easily tell that the steak is of very low quality, and it does not taste beefy at all.
