Es ist Würstezeit! Nicht Brotzeit!
this translates to... it is sausages time! not Bread time! because we did not have any bread... we just eat sausages! many many of them!
Before looking at my hotdog pictures... Let me give you a short german lesson. lol.
Call me Deutschlehrer Foodiegymmie! hahaha =P
In Deutsch, every noun has a gender, Maskulinum, Femininum or Neutrum (Male, Female or Neutral). There s no reason why, it just is! For example, chair is male and door is female, and bed is neutral. So when we refer to Chair, we say: der Tisch; die Tür for the door, and das Bett for the bed. der/die/das are the articles for the different genders, male, female and neutral respectively.
Brot means bread in german, So we say das Brot (n)
Zeit means time in german; die Zeit (f)
Combine together, it means: Brotzeit or Breadtime!
Wurst means sausage; die Wurst(f)
Würstezeit!!!

Würstelplatte @ $32.50 - I shared the platter with my friend. The platter has spicy chicken sausage, lamb sausage, mini pork cheese sausages, weisswurst sausage and garlic sausage with sauerkraut and mustard. The lamb sausage is the bestest!!!
Nürnberger @ $17.50 - Consist of five pieces of original Nürnberger pork bratwurst with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. Can be a bit sickening if you eat all these by yourself... no variety... good thing he got good friend like us who share our sausages! hehe
Currywurst @ $17.50 -German pork and curry sausage with chili-curry sauce and potato wedges. I heard from my german course mates that this is a veryyyy popular dish in Germany... knowing this...
2 person ordered this... and I tried a bit, and I must say this is really good! The sausage is sooo BIG and JUICY, with ketchup on it, sprinkled with very aromatic curry powder!
Weisswurst @ $18.50 - 3 pieces of traditional Munich veal and pork sausage served with a brezn. I did not try this, but i heard that it is not bad la. when i saw the bretzel i was quite gian (feel like trying a bit), bcos I like bretzels and pretzels!*keep the post short, I am soooo busy, FYP presentations, thesis , german test and test, mid term paper to be complete before I leave for korea! cos now my korea trip is extended to almost a week, means I am very bz now... will blog less*
