Paris Day 3 - Morning Run and beautiful flowers

Morning temperature is a nice 10 deg, ideal for a morning run and an exploration of my neighbourhood.

A bowl of Edamame Bean cost $9?!?! Daylight robbery isn't it?

A half Bird half plane model, modelled after the concorde

Chocolate fudge cake. This is not the best cake eaten... wait for my Paris Day 9 picture... that cake blew me away~

The long walk to Chateau de Versailles - The largest Palace in Europe, used to house the nobles during the French Monarchy. It it really the LARGEST!!! I walked from morning till late afternoon, and maybe explored like only 5% of the whole place???

The golden gate

Pigeons feeding on water

The Palace garden

Dying for ice cream under the hot sun...

Tiramisu ice cream that cost $5 SGD, but taste worse than WALLS ice cream

Inside of the palace

Caught live action of filming in the palace

Wanted to order something interesting, but we do not know how to go about ordering! =(

Bonbons

Waited an hour to catch the train from station to Hotel... As our Hotel is near the Airport, those taking the same train as us were late for flight due to the delay. The climate was intense between the passengers and the staff. During the wait, we spoke to Jap/Hongkong/China tourist.

When the train finally arrived, we managed to squeeze into the train. The train was unimaginably packed. M air in my lungs was literally squashed out! The train doors could not close due to the crowd, as a results people near the door were pushed out by passengers in the train...and small fight broke out right before my eyes!

Gee... The french (not all, but those i witness that night) are damn violent and aggressive... not just this incident, but it seems like I witness a small/big fight almost everyday... they are also not as "high-class" as we thought, they don't shower much I guess, so the air in the train really stink of body odour.

I still like SMRT and Taipan train system and Berlin Bahn.

Paris Day 2 - Sacred Heart, Notre Dame, Patheon, Eiffel, LV

Sacred Heart - This was built to redeem the Nation's sins after the 1870 bloodshed of the Commune of Paris. You have to climb up a longgg fleet of steps, but the view and atmosphere is truly rewarding.

Music from Violin, Harp filled the air. Fantastic view from the basillica of the whole of Paris. I had my picnic there, along with great music, clear skies, cool wind and a great view.

Notre Dame de Paris- The exterior shows that it is of Gothic architecture nature

The interior of Notre Dame

The Pantheon - A great neoclassical monument, that serves as a famous burial place. However it started off as a church... the architecture of this monument really stands out from the rest of the parisian style buildings arround it.

Going to Paris without going to Eiffel tower is = not going Paris. Some people say it just looks like a piece of rusty metal... mesh of wires and steel etc... But the Eiffel to me is a truly amazing monument. I love the way the the metal rods bend upwards from the 4 corners and meet at the top... The perfect symmetry perfected at the time before you and me was born, or even your grandparents (built in 1889) is truly amazing.

Arc de Triomphe - Built to honor those who fight during the Napoleon wars.

Names of those honored are engrave on the monument.

then we took a long walk to the place where girls go "wild"...

If you step into this LV outlet... it feels like you are in China and not in Paris. WHY?! Because more than 75% of the customers are from China!!! The chinese are really getting wealthier!

Paris Day 1 - La Vallee Village, Supermarket

Suites by mdb

The french at the airport almost caused me to lose my luggages... diverted me to the wrong arrival hall. Anyway Paris CDG airport is well-known to be "unfriendly" according to my friends! The first day started off with no BANG.

But in the end, i my luggages was held in the office... and after hours... i finally reached my place of stay for the next few days! =)

Beautiful, sweet smelling flowers greet me every morning... I never knew flowers can smell so heavenly... Not Singapore orchid of cos!

The food dispenser machine - Forget buying anything from here... a packet of TWIX can cost 2 Euros, that is $4... WTH!

Unlimited rides for 5 days cost S$100

Fair enough for the $1oo if the state of the train is in a good state... Vandalism was abundant! The stench was kind of bad... smell of dead rats? stuffy...

Alighted at Paris Gard du Nord, and saw a interesting stall selling something which until today, I still have no idea what it is... I heard its fermented bread, but I have no idea how true this is

Lots of patissiere at the subway! I am literally droolingz most of the time!

Bought a cinammon roll with raisins... I dunno how to describe the taste man... it just taste GOOD even for a simple cinnamon roll!

The interior of a shopping centre

La Vallee - The "Village" that sells all the branded stuffs from Armani to Longchamp to Calvin Klein to many many unknown brands unheard...

and bought a bag for my work which is going to start in a few weeks time... :(

The shopping spree was followed by a groceries shopping spreeeee at a supermarket near La Vallee

I tried one if the sample cheese... and it taste like "PUKE"!!! The moral of this story is... never anyhow try cheese!

Bought bread for breakfast as we stay in a service apartment... so we make our own sandwiches in the morning...

Mont Blanc sell mineral water too?!?!?
