Pho 24

Yea! Pho 24 is already in Sunny Island Singapore, just 3 days ago!! Pho 24 is actually the name of a stall that sells Pho (soup noodle). The first time I tried this was a year ago in Ho Chih Minh City! Its not like normal Beef Noodle Soup. The soup is very very tasty, full of flavour. The Noodle resembles Kway Teow but much thinner and smoother, literally slids down your throat. The Beef is put into the hot soup raw, and when you eat it, its still very soft and tender!

Anyway its named pho 24 because 24 ingredients are used in the cooking, and the soup is boiled for 24 hours to bring out the best flavor! The 24 spices of Pho 24 include water, meat, marrowbone, salt, pepper, sugar, fish sauce, onions, shallots, spring onions, cinnamon, anise, ginger, cloves, coriander, radishes, lemons, chilli, saw tooth coriander, coriander, sweet basil, bean sprouts, chilli sauce and black soya sauce.
Heres some pictures of the one in Vietnam!
This is the Beef Pho (pronounced as 'fer)
My first meal in HCM back then. They have a lot of bean sprouts and leafy veggies and mint leaves. The beef are thinly sliced.
Fried Spring Rolls
Spring Rolls are one of the well-known dishes in Vietnam. You see them everywhere! Lunch and Dinner sure got Spring Roll. Coffee Break also got spring roll. Unlike the ones in SG, theirs is very different in taste thou pictorially, they look similar, and when dipped with the sauce and eaten with the leaf... you can go ahh....
Anyway the outlet in Singapore is in town only. If I still remember clearly, it costs around $10 for a set meal which includes a bowl of Pho, Spring Rolls and Vietnamese Coffee. Speaking of Vietnamese Coffee, they are well-known for their iced-milk coffee... but drinking their coffee takes a lot of patiene... you will know why when you try one. :)

Seah Deli - The Heavy Weight Champion

Upon recommendation by fellow foodie, FoodfieGymmie decides to embark on a journey to Seah Street Deli to try the so called Best Burger.

There it is, we have reached Seah Street Deli

Some of the items in the menu...
So empty on a evening... the deco resembles very much of BilliBombers...
This is the first page of the menu, not a jukebox! But there is a juke box situated just beside me. When i was seated, the server came over and asked if we want Justin Timberlake. Deep down inside, I wanted FallOut Boy or 周杰倫... haha. So Justin Timberlake starts blaring beside me. At least its still better than those oldies before i came...

Cheers~ Ice Kosong! The Evian Ice Water cost $9... its not those one big tub on water cooler kind, its only 330ml mind you. So... be wary...

quesadilla - with melted cheese in between Masa Dough (I think), with roasted Chicken and sour cream and Guacamole as condiments. The Jalapeno when eaten with the dough adds a special tinge of spiciness to the dough.

Upclose of quesadilla

I must say this dish is very nice. Its chewy, due to the dough and the melted cheese. Its slightly charred, so you get a slightly burnt aroma.

4.5 Tacos / 5.0 Tacos

Texas Burger

An Enormous Burger boasting 12 ounce - 350 grams of beef patty, topped with BBQ sauce. Laid on the patty was a few strips of smoked bacon which i find was too dry and crispy, even bakwa taste better. Then there was sauteed peppers and onions, a hardened layer of melted cheese which was a turn off and of cos veggies! The fries was nice..probably bcos i haven't had any for the past...hmm... few... mm... i dunno.. maybe months?

See... its thick! You can see that the cheese is actualli very dry from here. The Beef Patty is very beefy... but also too dry. The bun is toasted to nice tan.

The Texas burger being striped off its bun...

4.0 Texas / 5.0 Texas

I still prefer the iEat Super Burger at Astons, jucier patty and bacon, with melted cheese not hardened melted cheese. But well... Texas Burger still get a 4.0, not too bad la... still nice.. but just not as nice.

Seah Street Deli is located at Raffles Hotel #01-221 along Beach Road

Chocolates madness from the land of Kangaroos and Joeys!

Many many chocolates!!!
Many many so many chocolates from Australia.. How can i not become tubby and chubby... arghh... haha. More Gym and HIIT with little blacky Chiehui!!! Anyway the key point is eat in moderation.

Rocky Road

This is my favourite! Marshmallow Center, coated with a thick very thick layer of chocolatey chocolate and sprinkled with Peanuts! How sinful? Damn sinful. Just 50g of it contains like 20g sugar and 15g fats.

Chocolate HoneyComb

Taste like the chocolate with the golden wrapper... forget the name... Its cubes of honeycomb dipped into molten chocolate, then hardened - Just like how investment casting is done, soak the wax into slurry etc.

Richfield 70% Cocoa

Dark Chocolates.. I love Darks! They are lower in fats content than milk chocolates as cocoa itself doesnt contain much fats... its the cocoa butter and the milk! And a small little piece of dark chocolates (70% or more) contains enough flavonoids which are known for their anti-oxidants activity.

Fine Milk chocolate

Nice to eat... with no apparent benefits except adding inches to your waistline so that your pants become more fitting.

Caramel Fudge

I never eat this before and i I havent tried it... Fudgey things should be nice...
