Saturday Breakfast at Coffee Bean - HDB Hub

The sausage was tasteless, but taste healthy... hah! Scrambled egg was well done. I like the toast with the jam. Cranberry Salad lacks dressing.

I like the bread, cheese and ham but taste nicer than what i make for myself every morning, probably bcos i used low-fat cheese and boiled ham...

The Salmon is surprisingly fresh and seasoned nicely, but the egg is slightly over-cooked thou.

Kind of sick of Coffee Bean Breakfast already... recommendations please!!

Vilage' - The Pre-Exam Food

Hohoho... Xmas is coming and exams are finally over! so now i can continue with my journey of eating and blogging again! Exams was sucky...whatever...
Time to Exercise more bcos of all the snacks that i have eaten while trying to "mug"... Everyday must go gym now... just look at the amt of snacks i had for just 2 weeks (pics from the previous post) and that was like maybe 1/4 of my total servings only, loL.
Some random pics from the not so distant past, b4 my exams...
Ham and Cheese Crepes
I remember those days back in secondary school, the crepes were filled fully with ham and cheese, it was so much nicer and better than the one at vilage' now. The standard have dropped so much, or is it bcos those days back then it was marche. But nevertheless, I still find crepes to be the must-eat dish in marche/vilage'.

Sausage with Rosti and a 'sunny-sideup'

Another must-eat for me. I like the rosti slightly burnt! Look at the amount of mustard at the side of the plate! haha... love mustards!

Pho 24

Yea! Pho 24 is already in Sunny Island Singapore, just 3 days ago!! Pho 24 is actually the name of a stall that sells Pho (soup noodle). The first time I tried this was a year ago in Ho Chih Minh City! Its not like normal Beef Noodle Soup. The soup is very very tasty, full of flavour. The Noodle resembles Kway Teow but much thinner and smoother, literally slids down your throat. The Beef is put into the hot soup raw, and when you eat it, its still very soft and tender!

Anyway its named pho 24 because 24 ingredients are used in the cooking, and the soup is boiled for 24 hours to bring out the best flavor! The 24 spices of Pho 24 include water, meat, marrowbone, salt, pepper, sugar, fish sauce, onions, shallots, spring onions, cinnamon, anise, ginger, cloves, coriander, radishes, lemons, chilli, saw tooth coriander, coriander, sweet basil, bean sprouts, chilli sauce and black soya sauce.
Heres some pictures of the one in Vietnam!
This is the Beef Pho (pronounced as 'fer)
My first meal in HCM back then. They have a lot of bean sprouts and leafy veggies and mint leaves. The beef are thinly sliced.
Fried Spring Rolls
Spring Rolls are one of the well-known dishes in Vietnam. You see them everywhere! Lunch and Dinner sure got Spring Roll. Coffee Break also got spring roll. Unlike the ones in SG, theirs is very different in taste thou pictorially, they look similar, and when dipped with the sauce and eaten with the leaf... you can go ahh....
Anyway the outlet in Singapore is in town only. If I still remember clearly, it costs around $10 for a set meal which includes a bowl of Pho, Spring Rolls and Vietnamese Coffee. Speaking of Vietnamese Coffee, they are well-known for their iced-milk coffee... but drinking their coffee takes a lot of patiene... you will know why when you try one. :)
